I've been looking around this forum for a while and I got a crazy idea.

Would it be possible to put a EuroSpec RS4 Bi Turbo engine in a US B5 Audi 1.8t Quattro?

I was giving this a little thought and it seems it could be done because AFAIK they're based on a similar chasis. I'm looking for some input from you guys on whether or not it would be insane to do. I know that in cars anything can be done with enough money but my only question is whether or not there's some definate no no's that would stop me from doing that.

 

Its possible, most guys craving large hp will just buy a a4 for 10k and throw 5k in it for a bigger turbo.

if you could find a deal on the engine then hell yeah!!! do it... because no one else has

 

not worth it at all, only place i seen selling the engine and doing the swap was in the UK for 11999 pounds! thats almost 20 g's

ur better off tradin in the a4 for an s4 and changing the internals on the s4 to run the same compression as the rs4, cams, rods, pistions, the works. that would be the cheapest way to do it

thats why i said only if you get a good deal on engine... who knows might find one somewhere.. dont loose hope though.. it can be done with time and patience

 

yea, even if u got just the engine, now u gotta find someone to swap everything for you, you would need to replace so much little stuff too, even cluster. if u want just bragging rights, saying i have an a4 and put an s4 engine in it, then do it up, to get an actual rs4 engine, u would need to do it through a company, cuz that engine isnt on this side of the world.

 

KO4 a S4 and I'm sure you'll be mighty happy

so just buy a S4 and K04 that thing
