Creaking Front Left Shock?

Creaking Front Left Shock?
Hi guys,
I recently started hearing my front left shock creaking whenever it compresses. Any idea what this might be and the going rate for fixing such an issue? I think I read about a work order or something like that for failing control arms awhile back. Does this fall under that category?
Much Thanks,

Yeah sounds like control arms... are you saying you already got them replaced? Sometimes people only replace upper, or lower... and then it's the ones you didn't fix, coming back to haunt you.

Any shop that does front end work (allignments and whatnot) might be able to do it... for way cheaper than a dealer. But yeah, a VW dealer can do it I am sure... but still stupid expensive.
Buy the kit off eBay...it is waaaaaaay cheaper than the dealer... or www.ecstuning.com sells it for 600~ I think... but eBay you can get the meyle kit for 399 I think.

RE: Creaking Front Left Shock?
Save yourself ALOT of money and do It' youreself. I did all of them on both sides in a day. now I could do it in under 4 hours. If it is the upper control arms, you have to buy a new bolt cuz you WILL screw up the one on top trying to get it out.. ( Lots of blood and sweat. I recommend an air hammer) .
Just pop out the old ones and replace with the new
P.S. if it is the uppers , the shock assembly comes out easily allowing you to change them out of the car.
