Default Cruise control - Am I missing something here?

When I was driving my A4 today I wondered if my cruise control worked. I moved the switch into the on position and hit set at 65mph in 5th gear. I released the gas and it slowed down.

I tried it again with the same result.

When I got home I decided to check the manual to see if I was doing it right, and I was. I saw however it listed automatic, not manual.

So I thought maybe the fuse had blown. I checked the fuse box and there's no fuse for the cruise control.

I found the proper amperage fuse and put it in the slot for the CC. Lo and behold it doesn't have wiring to that junction.

Did my A4 MT come without CC? [sm=dontgetit.gif]

You have to push in the little thing on the end of the lever when it is on the on position. I dunno if you have to hold it or not.

in a b6 you have to pull it out... after that you push the side button ("set") to activate it

if something is wrong with your ABS, it will automatically disable your CC. ive had this problem ever since i bought my a4, but at least its taught me how to drive without CC

I use to think my CC wasn't working either, till I realized that it was set at 90mph. I was going 70 and thing wouldn't work. Try setting it at a much higher speed and if it works just reset it from there.

I have the EXACT same problem, and my ABS is missing a fuse and the wirings not there too. What the hell.

When you goto pop the fuse in, the cars missing the metal terminal that would normally clamp onto the fuse.

But my car has CC and ABS
