I have 06 A4 2.0T with CVT with about 115,000 km. Just yesterday, for the first time that I have noticed, the cruise control would not engage. However, when I got home I soon determined I had to do another errand and that time it did work. Then this morning I took some friends to airport and on the way there it did not work so I turned off the car at lights and restarted - and then it worked. Then after leaving the airport it would not work. I stopped and shut off the car and restarted bu nothing I did affected the cruise control - doesn't engage.

At first I thought it was something about restarting and it working every other time or something. But that does not seem to be the trick.

Any suggestions?
