Cruise control no worky? GIAC still work with cruise stalk?

just curious.. i am thinking of purchasing the GIAC chip and have read that it operates with your cruise control stalk..

i have a 99 A4 .. but my cruise control does not work.. is this going to affect the GIAC operation? i mean i guess the problem with the cruise control lies somewhere else then the stalk?

APR works with the cruise control, GIAC have their own hand held control unit
