a couple days ago i went to open my sunroof and got a horrible crunching noise. the first time it was loud, like plastic snapping, and since then it's gotten more and more quiet each time to the point where it's almost gone now, but not quite. it never lost any function, it still works fine now and it still seals and everything, but that noise scared the hell out of me and i'm sure something is broken..i've looked and i didn't see anything, other than a small chunk of plastic sitting in the track about 1cmx5mm..anyone have a similar experience that they might want to share?

I think ecstuning sells that piece and yes I have had the same thing. I don't really care as long as it keeps working.

thanks, flyboy. i found the repair kit on ecs for 12 bucks...it says it's a repair kit for the fabric cover, but i'll give it a shot anyway, since it's only 12 bucks...i don't think i want to wait until it completely breaks cause then i'm running the risk of jamming the sunroof and possibly damaging the motor...

is that all it was for? sorry bout that. the moter has a safty that reverses first then turns off and if I draws to much you'll blow the fuse. just be sure to have the wrench that you can close it manualy with on hand.

oh ****, thanks for the tip ross, you were right! i checked in the track and BAM, sitting right there was a nacho cheesier dorito...you da man!

flyboy, i wasnt sure if he was drunk, and crawled up through his sunroof, cracked open a bag of doritos, and chilled for a while, in his state of drunkeness, was droping doritos,and got one caught in his crack, it was just a thought, come on guys...
