Thanks for the link, dont know how i missed that... I dont want any down time on my car other than the install and id have to send my k03 out to get built to k04 spec, or else it costs more and if i did that id just rather pay a little extra for minimal down time and a better warranty. Plus ill sell my k03 probably.

o i thought they gave you a k03 that was built to k04 specs. i didn't know you had to send out your k03 and get it built up. ya i'd go with getting a new k04 then as well...further searching hasn't turned up anythin. there was some going for 750 but it was a sale and they sold out already. maybe one will pop up on audizine or ebay for cheap. good luck man

Thanks for your help man. I dont mind spending $800, but thats the very max. I think I may force myself to have some more patience before ordering (unless ctsturbo shows a pulse) and hope to get one for less than $800. Id hate to order it and then see a link 2 days later for $50 less. I know $50 isnt a whole lot compared to the total im paying for everything.. But thats the cost of the gasket/install kit, so... whatever... I guess it will be a slower than anticipated modding process... At least ill have the exhuast soon.

Hmmm i thought they would sell you a K03 and the $100 more to upgrade to a K04. I dont see why they would charge you that amount to send your turbo to have it changed to a K04 for that price...Im sure its a new turbo made to a K04 spec.

Yes i was mistaken... The price they advertise is for one of their cores they keep stocked, and there is a slight discount if you send in your core/k03 to get built to k04 spec.

I dont know man.. But it is starting to sound more appealing. I would just hate to get it, and once its all setup have a tuning/running problem and suspect that its the turbo. Where they say its good up to 210hp worries me since most everywhere else advertises 225hp+
