Has anyone on this forum made custom headers for the 1.8t? my friend and i are toying with the idea of making a sand rail for pismo beach because his uncle has 180 acres here in sacramento (ish area) and he has an amazing machine shop that he has built entire cars in. while building this I have been toying with the idea of custom fabricating headers for my car. concidering I have never delt with headers for turbo;d cars, i dont wanna make a basic booboo that will make me mad.

so has anyone made custom headers? and if so, do you still have the plans or just hints?

 

can be done, tomritt made his... as long as you use quality material and do the job right you should have a really nice header, you can buy them from places but alot of them are shitty quality
