okay now im confused... i have to admit i dont know anything about exhaust. I thought a muffler shop would atually make an exhaust for you, meaning it was custom. if i have to buy everything and they just weld it how is that custom??? Sorry i know so little about this, it just doesnt makes sense.

johnstef, you gotta choose what muffler you want )) Then choose what piping size )) Then you go to the shop with your muffler andtell them how you wanna do it. They should bend pipes and then weld them.

a regular exhaust system is when you buy everything that was prefitted for your car usually like a cat back. it's like 2x more expensive. people at the shop are mechanics, not inventors lol. i hope that clears things up a bit. and if you are, don't be embarrased about not knowing or being wrong, that's what this forum is here for man.

Yes! Cat back 2 ana half w/ res delete and a glass pack magnaflow.. Its going to be quite a bit louder Ill get you a in cabin cruzing and WOT and a start up with a few revs if ya want me to? So you can get a feel of it a little more.. Its drone on the freeway is something that you get used to... But its a sound that WILL turn heads wether it bea cutie around campus or a copper ready to bust ya.. There is no rasp and the drone is not as bad as the sti or the evo but still over bearing between 2k and 3k... But the backfires and a good purge from the dv in sync you wont regret it at all....

Res:Resonator
Piping will hardly make a difference.. but your heavy A$* stock res approx 14lbs(Picked that sucker up and man they aint lying)!!! Makes all the difference in the world!! I personally have heard both res and non res with my set up and the non res was MUCH better! There was almost no diff between stock.. It was much raspier with his res. and his glasspack was already burned in..

The piping diameteris what has an impact on performance, not "deleting" the resonator or using a different muffler. For every 1/4 inch larger you go, it significanly decreases back pressure. The stock resonator/muffler isnt as restrictive as you think. Youre most likely not going to notice a difference of 14lbs either. Youll get more snap crackle poping without a resonator, thats an unavoidable side affect.
