Default Custom work - Phase 1 of 4

Hey everyone!

Here are some pics of my b5 1.8T Q after painting my lowers and getting new wheels and tire (ASA JH8 with Yoko H4S). If all works out I may even get a body kit from lltek (JE Design maybe) but that would mean a full repaint of the car.

The next phases will include a new exhaust (not quite sure which one yet), APR Chip, Clear Corners, HIDs, and finally getting that rip in the pleather taken care of ($1200 CDN for a custom leather job for all 4 seats- black withyellow inserts).

Anyway, here's what it looks this time around.

Yeesh, I'd have left the lower grills black...
And I'd avoid the yellow inserts on the seats, too. The black and yellow theme really bothers me... it's painful to look at sometimes. I think I'll name it "bumble-bee syndrome". A lot of yellow car owners get it...

EDIT: the car looks like it's in great shape though. Where abouts are you in Canada?

I love the yellow color on audi... also you should get the clear corner and debadge mods done. Car just looks so much more sexier with those and plus its not at all costly ...

PS: GL with your other phases also...

the full yellow was actually based on a disconnect. I wanted to leave the grille black but i guess the body man got a little carried away that's why i was considering a body kit to correct that disconnect.

on the outset, it didn't turn out too bad

btw you're probably right about the yellow inserts on the leather... always bet on black!

Haha right on. I'm about 45 minutes East of Toronto.
Sucks that the body guy went crazy... but you can always replace those grills!

And yes, solid black seats is definitely the way to go! But if you're ready to spend a grand, just wait it out and get an S4 interior. They pop up every now and then for 700-1000. That's what I did.

Thanks for the tip! Your interior looks sweet! I'll keep an eye out.

I still have time as the seats won't be done until i finish some of the more important mods. I'm treating this mod as a feather in my cap. When all is said and done, i'll finally have new leather for my *** instead of the painful sight of the torn pleather each time i enter the car.

Exactly the same reason I replaced mine. I sold my old seats for like 400 bucks, too... because non-enthusiasts who need them (airbag deployment or whatever other reason) are scared to death of dealer prices. So 400 bucks for them with a tear in the drivers seat was a great deal.
