damn check engine light
So I am driving and everything is great. Car is running great and I am great. So we pull into my space at our apartment complex and BAM check engine light pops on. No symptoms of anything, everything is running and operating and sounding normal. I have no idea as to why a cel would pop when Im braking into my parking space but sure enough it did. I was wondering if anyone has a vagcom or any diag tool for a b5 a4 local to maryland. Im hesitant to disconnect the battery, but thats the ghetto way to fix things and the CEL came on for a reason.
p1136 fuel air metering. I checked under the hood and the intake pipe wasnt seated correctly so I fixed it and went and got the code read and cleared and everything is fine. It was awsome as all I needed was my license to borrow the tool. Well Im glad it was a free and easy fix, my new audi had me worried there for a minute
. But shes back in business and no cel.

DUMB questions here....
I'm new to forum, and also a relatively (less than a year) new owner of my 2001 Audi A4 2.8 V6 Quattro.
I recently had a warning indicator light come on and it refered to it in the owner's Manual as the OBDS (on board diaagnostic system) is tthis the same thing as what you are referring to as the CEL ???
If I could learn the CAR ligo I am sure that would be better...I never professed to be a mechanic, just a consumer that doesn't want to get raped by one! At least not Monday am before morning coffee...
