Are there any shops that carry 6 1/2 inch subs? I love Audi's stock sound system but damn its a pain when something breaks.
Can anyone point me to a vendor in the Bay Area or a place with the ability to buy ONE OEM sub? There is no way Im going to the dealer...

hmm, stupid question but will it not be a good idea to get a 3rd party sub with the same specifications (2ohm/4ohm ...) ?

Or how about just add an aftermarket amp/sub setup to make it even better, in my last car I added rockford fosgate single 12' with amp for 350 installed.

 

6.5 inch sub LOL... is the same basic thing as a regular 6.5 inch speaker... if u just want the 6.5's... either change your rear decks.... orr.... buy 6.5 inch speakers.. and put them in an enclosure and set them on the amp to low frequency.... there ya go.... i still suggest a 10-12 inch... (only 1 for our little cars).

 

i think mb quarts and high end companies like boston acoustics have 6 1/2 inch woofers. they're wicked expensive though. If you want to be a pimp, fiberglass a 12 into your spare tire well and cut a hole in the carpet so it looks flush and is out of the way: Instant Pimpified

Kind of on the subject, but is it ok to swap out the old disk player to a cd player?...i've heard problems of throwing engine lights after a aftermarket CD player was installed....or is the engine code thing hog's wash?

 

And what do you do when you get a flat? I've seen this done many times and I just dont get it. I'd be pissed if I was on the interstate and got a flat with no spare-I guess you can bump the tunes while you wait for a tow truck.
