the information center dash display in the center of my gauges, it showing horrible looking images, like the pixels are bad or something.... could it be a loose wire? or could the screen just be going bad? it is a 2000, so i assume over time it would eventually start to not work correctly

 

yeah they go out on our cars. how many miles on your car?
i have a 1999 and 75k miles and mines still good *crosses fingers*

 

they pretty much all do that on all B5 .. there is a link somewhere for a lawsuit against Audi for this issue.. hopefully someday Audi will issue a recall..

 

that law suit was on www.audizine.com but I don't think it was going anywhere

 

there is nothing that can be done, until a recall is issued, if at all? thats crappy... oh well... minor details i guess, thanks guys

 

just turn the display off there is a switch on the bottom of your wiper switch

 

Seems to be worse in hot weather. Some days mine is 99% working, but on a hot day, like today, its all fucked up.

 

werd.. +1 on cool nights i used to be able to read it real clear.. now that its hot.. no chance at all of reading it.. .. ever.. [:@]

 

that **** sucks i got 37k miles on my 2000 and the pictures already dead.
