In Dash DVD question???????

Default In Dash DVD question???????

I have now been tol that the pioneer AVIC-D1 does not have the gyro system in it. Anyone know ?

it does...i sell em at my store, installed a few...it does indeed have it.

the Pioneer 5700 seems like the only one without them i think, thats why i bought one - before all of them get that gyro stuff done to them. there are a bunch of other brands that don't have gyro, but Pioneer is the best from what I hear.

exactly, that is what i have done.
I have the Pioneer AVH-P6600DVD,


also connected to an X-Box console and a 8" Pioneer AVD-w8000 LCD screen in the back


The E-brake trick must be performed, in my opinion.

I have yet to find a way...I know how to bypass the e-brake wire because on the 05 Pioneers they changed it from a simple ground wire to a smarter system (if it sees the wire is grounded when it turns on, it knows the safety wire was bypassed, so you have to start the unit ungrounded then ground it out). So good luck figuring out how to bypass the gyro on that one, I have yet to see a way.
