Default In-Dash Nightmares

... my myspace bulletin will explain it....

Yeah, bought an In-Dash for my car, and talk about a ******* nightmare to wire up. Holy ****, I can slap a CD player in a car in about a half hour, but this thing was like decoding ancient hieroglyphics. It would have been easier if I wasn't trying to figure out how to actually make it work while driving... I got that figured out, but of course when I get it finally in, the thing doesn't want to play sound after the initial power-up. 1st time's a charm, and then once it shuts off and turns back on, it wouldn't make noise. DAMNIT! On top of all that, whoever installed the last CD player in it mutilated the wiring harness like, it looked like some retarded kid eating spaghetti.

Yeah, I'm Venting. The screen is actually crisp, and its easy to use, I wish it would just go right. Oh Well, tomorrow is another day, and I'll figure it out then... Untill then I'm going to have a headache because of all the thinking I had to do (and we all know its hard for me).

Either way, have a good one, I'm going to sleep....

So yeah, after waiting an hour today to have a stereo shop wire it up, guess what?!? it worked about 15 times (power on, power off), and then stopped, so I figured it had to be the Unit itself. I took it out, brought it back, exchanged it for another (and accidentally forgot to give them the first remote, so I guess I have a backup now), and installed the new one (just plugging in the harness that was already wired in to the car). Sure as ****, works perfect, sounds better actually (so I figured it was the internal amp in the other one). Just now, going to pick up a pack of smokes, I shut the car off, come back out to it, and sure as hell, it doesn't work again! NO SOUND! AAAGGGGHHHHHHH....

I'm going to bring it back to the stereo shop on monday and tell them to double check everything. If they can't figure it out, I'm just going to buy the factory plugs for the harness, and start all over on the wiring.... is there anything special I have to do when wiring since it has the factory amp in it? The Pioneer that was in it worked perfect the way it is wired now..... I'm lost.
