Default Turbo bolts

This is a problem that has been plaguing my car for ages. The previous owner tried all sorts of things and nothing worked. Now it's my problem. I thought I'd post and see if anyone has any bright ideas.

My car has a Kinetic MS exhaust manifold and k04 turbo. The Kinetic mani is a lot beefier than the stock one, so longer bolts are required. The bolts keep coming loose. And believe me, they've been tightened plenty. Hmm... what else. The transmission grinds and chatters in 1st gear, so that might be causing some vibration. (soon to be fixed) It's a B5 1.8t manual by the way. High-flow catalytic converter. Borla exhaust. Also, last time i fixed it, the bolts were stretched visibly. It was actually rather amazing they didn't break. It's a real pain because each time they come lose, the turbo gasket gets destroyed and my car sounds like ****, and I don't want people thinking I don't take care of my Audi.

The problem is probably with bolts. In exchaust manifold special bolts should be used because of hight temperatures. Normal bolts just get stretched under hight temperature. I had similar problem when changed bolts on catalytic converter and after week or so they just were getting loose (became longer).

I'm using bolts specced for the heat, i've tried a locking plate, not sure if the former owner tried locktite... i'll give it a shot. Hopefully it doesn't melt or do anything funky from the high temp. Yes, maybe if all else fails i'll weld the sucker, haha

There is a high temp Locktite formula.

The chattering in 1st gear may be caused by a lightwieght flywheel. Did the prevous owner have one installed. They are notorious for chattering.

For the turbo bolts, get some ARP bolts or tack weld the thing.
