good luck getting a tv the size of a double din in your a4 that only has a single din. It can and has been done, but its def not something that circuit city can do. just letting you know to do some research before you but it cause it would suck spending cash on somehting you cant install
Depends on who you talk to... I know the guy that works at mine (because I work there as well) that does custom stuff like that, did it on his jeep and he is going it on my a4in the next couple weeks. It is something thatis going to be hard to find (a person who is willing to do a customjob for you) but from what it sounds like, it's not hard ifyou know what you are doing.

btw, if you are running the bose system make sure you letthem knowearly so theycan order thebose kit (4 -> 2 ohm). I'll try to post pics when it gets done.

To answer your original question I believe the code is programmed into the radio so replacing the radio should solve the "safe mode".
