Day 3 complete: My long h2O weekend (very long post)
Oh boy where do I begin...
Last week, we (mostly me and Foster aka Mainer) started finished my exhaust manifold to get it installed by h20 which i registered to show at. We finally got it done thursday morning and spent all day into the night Thursday getting the manifold installed, fabbing new charge piping, made a new oil drain, drinking beer, all that good stuff. Here's how it looked..ready to go, with the new ignition system and manifold installed

Friday morning...wake up at 6am after a long night and do the hw i neglected. Go to class at 8am, get out at 850, we needed one more nut so my friend went to the hw store to get that and we were planning on leaving at 9. I get a call at 9am "uh dude I locked my keys in car" So we ended up leaving 45min later, with a set-up on my car that had no miles on it, and no tuning.
We get about 10mi and I realize the car is extremly sluggish so we get out look at it, and theni realized we were only able to get 2 manifold to turbo nuts on, because of the crappy placement of the flange so it was leaking bad. We pick up an r32 in watertown and head to binghampton to meet a TT.
Heres the watertown stop

We get there and I realize my exhaust dump wastegate arm is broken. Also the real wastegate rod on the turbo was also broken! I tell the guys we were with, an audi 90, an mk3 vr6, the r32 to just go and try and meet the big cruise in Wilmington. And I had to my house to weld a new wastegate rod on, and repair the turbo wastegate rod, as well as put the old exhaust manifold on. We get to my house did that crap, end up stripped the oil feed so we made a new one with parts I luckily had laying around. And we leave around 10pm.
We get about 10min away and all of a sudden i get a flashing oil pressure light so i immediatly turn off the car and coast to a stop. There is smoke absolutly everywhere and I thought the car was on fire. Pop the hood and I see what happend, the oil line we made came disconnected and sprayed out absolutly everywhere. The back of my car was covered, the TT was covered, everything, including 1/5mi of the rd..all that fresh mobil1 down the drain. Also we found that one of the comp housing bolts stripped out of the housing creating a boost leak. Some girls stop by and tell me they like how i bend over... I call the girl who was going down with us and have her drive us home.
We get home make a new line, and go to bed
Day 2
Ok so after the previous day of hell we woke up at 7am aching and tired. I get a ride in the TT to my car at about 7:15 and install the new feed line while my friend with went to get the others. Get the line on, oil in etc and start it up with my fingers crossed. I thought for sure i would spun a bearing or blown the turbo, but it ran and moved. Picked up the woman, and continued on our way basically in limp mode. We finally get to the campground in OC at about 2pm...we left 9:45 fri, and got to oc at 3pm sat... and a couple guys were pretty much drunk by now. We take some pics on the beach (some pics were from later that night when we lined all the cars up).

Then we head to the preshow for a little. We also stopped at the carwash and met Skibos from AF! Very cool kid, nice to meet him.

His car

On the way back i get out the computer to see what the hell is going on with the car, because it was running like absolute crap. Couldnt find anything except it was getting into boost much later than I tuned for on the fuel map so once we get back to the campsite we took the turbo off and replaced the bolt that stripped out of the comp housing. take it out and the rd and its good to go. Also the guy with the r32 tries disconnecting his haldex for some fwd burnouts but we were a couple tools short.
We head to the strip, had some good times, got kicked out of pretty much everyparking lot. I had a runin with the car I look up to. Its a built fully forged 2.0 with gt3076 and mika tuned sw. I was pulling on him pretty good, im not sure what he was doing or if he wasnt on it or something but that made my day. We get some pics and vid and my buddy calls me and tells me about another gtg where we wont get kicked out so we head over there. Had some hilarious conversation, good group of ppl at this one, and we shoot the **** for a while and then head back to the campground not before leaving a huge flame as we pulled out.
Stole some wood from a construction site earlier so we burned that and started drinking...the rest I dont recall.

what ignition system is that? how much did it cost? did u have to make custom plates for it to fit the sockets? also how did u wire it and was it hard? o ya very nice lookin engine bay and i love the manifold. wanna make another one
Thanks
um the msd system is 2 msd 8224 twin tower coils with nuespeed 16v spark plug wich i put gm ends onto. I am running a wasted spark system from my standalone so it was easy to wire. This wouldnt work on stock ecu.

Hahaha i was very close to driving the thing straight into an oncoming bus. Foster (Mainer) was in the car with me the whole time I'm sure he felt the same way. And thats not all the problems, i didnt post any info on the way home yet
I'm not sure on whp, prolly around 270awhp at 15lbs
