Default Dedication and new parts

Well I am a new owner to a 2002 Audi A4 1.8t and I have just realized how crazy I will probably go with this car. I got the car 3 weeks ago and quickly ordered a Carbonio Intake, Evo DV, and a AWE boost gauge. The intake came in last week and for those of you in New England you know it has been raining for 2 weeks. I started the install at about 5pm when there was a break in the rain and of course half way through it starts to rain. Did I stop? ....... no I just pulled the hood down over my head and kept on going. Next I realize that I have defective parts. The 2 pieces that thread into the 90 degree elbow have no threads cut on the outside of them. So I just rigged up the stock vacuum 90 elbow to the front of the new intake. Then I run into my next problem, it is now dark outside and I cant run a light because it is downpouring. So I just used a flashlight and finish the install.

The DV came in today and what a fun install that was. I had just replaced a breather hose on the back of the intake manifold so I had already came across those pain in the *u**^%$ a@^ clamps that Audi uses from the factory. BTW those clamps turned my quick fix into a 2 hour nightmare. After looking for the DV for almost an hour I finally found it from looking under the car and what do I come across again? Those f*&^$*& clamps again. Now from looking at the room I had under the car I knew that this quick install was going to be Nightmare 2. I got the lower clamp off by bending and then cutting it but the second upper clamp took me almost 2 hours. I finally just took a razor blade to the hose and cut it as close to the clamp as I could. After I got the stock DV off the new one took about 1 minute to put on. Does anyone know why Audi used these clamps? or is there an easy trick to taking them off?

Plasma cutter.

Easiest way I've found, is to to use needle nose pliers and bend the little tab. Then bust out a some plier and rip the ****** off. Another way is to take a screwdriver and wedge it into the crimped section. Either way is a pain.
