Hi all,

I' finally managed to buy myself a lovely A4 from 2006. Incredible condition, drives like new, except for this issue which didn't show up on test drive.
After I started driving for about 15 mins, the seat belt warning sound and lights up intermittently. It will ding once and then stop, then it'll ding for about a minute and stop. Then nothing for a while and then it'll start again, one ding, stop, minute later start again. Very annoying. Also I've noticed that when it lights up on the dash the mileage illumination (in between the rev and speed counters) goes out and then comes back on when the warning stops.
Anyone else had this or can point me in the right direction.

Not going to be much help. I would check under the seat to make sure any connections are tight and no wires appear to cracked. Since it is not a steady issue it sounds like a loose connection. No idea why the mileage on the dash would disappear though. Electric gremlins can be very hard to chase down.
