it kind of happened to me, my turn signal was white, and my reverse was red. reverse is still red and i put an amber bulb in the turn signal, which is in the reverse position, lol

why dont you right down what colour wires are in what slot/position and then just start switching them all around, the worst you can do is blow a fuse which is no biggy.
