Hey guys I just got my car back from Audi. They took care of my CEL and my coolent leak. $1000 later.
The service guy also told me I had a Diff Leak and the seals needed to be replaced but he assured me it wasent a big problem. He said it drips and falls on to the converter and buns off BUT I claerly see it on the ground. I am goign to take to my local shop and explain wut they diagnosed it as. I have read other posts and have seen many others have the same problem (diff seals) and they dont let it really bother them. BUT ITS SOO ANNOYING!! and I dont feel like spending 500 at the dealers to fix.

Going to the dealer is the dumbest thing any audi owner could do out of warranty. Any competent shop should be able to do the Diff seals for $300. My rear seals are leaking - been that way for 30k. I'm not too worried....

 

If the seals are leaking you should be worried. Eventually there won't be enough oil to protect the gears. Then you'll need a whole new diff.
