Default Difference between a Quatro exhaust and a FWD ?

can anybody explain me what the difference is between a exhaust for a Quatro and a FWD ?
i checked up a bit on exhaust systems to replace my stock exhaust on my A4 1.8T
and i ended up with magnaflow performance exhausts
thing is they got a Quatro exhaust which sounds pretty nice(in my opinion)
but i was wondering is it is really only for a Quatro or can it be fitted to a FWD also ?

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=Sport&id=774

thats the exhaust i am talking about

Well, just think about the extra parts on the Quattros. Driveshaft going straight back to the rear axle, and halfshafts going out to each wheel, plus the parts that hold all this to the chassis. My guess is the Quattro exhaust has to go around all this extra stuff. Now I have no clue if a Quattro exhaust would fit a FWD, or vice versa. Maybe our more experienced A4 enthusiasts will know.

I believe the difference between the FWD and the Quattro exhaust is the path of the piping. There is another axle in the back for quattro and what not so they have to form the piping to go accordingly.

i would assume a quattro exhaust would fit a fwd, because fwd has nothing to get in the way that the quattro doesn't have (the quattro is the one with the extra parts)...but a fwd exhaust on a quattro def wouldn't fit.
