differences between ATQ-2.8 & AHA-2.8
i have a '00 A4 tip, and was wondering how i can tell whether or not it has the ATQ-2.8 or AHA-2.8. beyond that, does anyone here care to expound on the differences between these two (and other types of audi engines, for that matter)?
engine code is on cylinder block in front of the right cylinder head.
1998-1999 = AHA
2000-2001 = ATQ
compression ratio; 10.6 AHA 9.9 ATQ
AHA has two different oil pumps, one is mounted on the front of the engine which is driven directly by crankshaft. later model AHA has modified oil pump which is driven by chain and is mounted inside oil pan.
i have read elsewhere that there is a soft code that works on tip. cars to change your engine to the 200hp a6 setting via Vag-com. but there is debate over the supposed power difference, the a6 has a true dual exhaust which probably produces the extra hp.
