where is the dimmer switch on my 96 a4?, does it even have one? I hopped in my car tonight and none of the dash lights are on(speedo, tach etc.) could i have bumped something? but i dont see a switch to adjust the brightness, ive checked the fuses and they are fine. I think it is a little unlikely for all the bulbs to go out at once, right?

 

Just trying to help and I'm not 100% positive since I just bought myself an 98 a4 myself a few days ago. I believe its the left **** ont he guage cluster. Turning it should change the dimming.

 

i tried that and nothing happened. .
does the car have to be running or anything for it to work?,
