I have an 2001 A4 with Bose Radio (symphony?) I am looking ot replace it with a different unit (AVIC-N1). Is there a DIN out there that I can put into the car? I've searched to no avail.. .

Thanks,
Mike

If it's the deck I think it is, it's a double DIN. Not many around that I found, but I know Pioneer and Clarion both make double DIN's. I'll see if I can get you a link.

I'm not exactly sure what the acronym refers to, but the Symphony I'm refering to is twice the size (top to bottom) of the standard aftermarket decks you see at Best Buy or Circuit City. I'm still looking for a couplle links that'd be helpful. I'll post something soon here.

Ok, here is the Pioneer double DIN. I'll edit this post and add the Clarion when I find it. Hope this helps.

Doose, thanks for the info... I'm actually looking for the panel that will go into the hole that will let me use a single DIN radio unit. I'm told that I'll need to have a custom one built.... any thoughts?

I'd go with it, I was hesitant at first, but they put the custom plate for me for about $50 and it looks great (like stock). You will probably need the custom plate even for an aftermarket double din.
