Default Dipped headlight?

This my second dipped headlight. First was right, now the left. I took my car into the dealer to fix the first time and only took about 5 min. Just wondering if there is someting that I can do to fix the left side on my own. Also please tell me what dipped headlight means. Thanks

Driver's side light is supposed to be dipped a bit compared to passenger. This keeps it from blinding oncoming traffic

Sorry not to make this clearer, but I have a warning that pops up at startup that says that I have a dipped headlight. My headlight is completely out.

Is it just the low beam? If so you either have a burned out bulb or a loose connection, likely the former.

If neither high or low beam work, you have a wiring problem.

What prob happened is that the person who changed them before did not us a clean cloth (prob only used there fingers) and the element burnt out as you must not handle the element.

Just buy a bulb and replace it, its not to hard at all.

Seeing as both the right and left bulb are on simultaneously, they tend to burn out close to the same time.
