I got a car accident a week ago and damaged my orginal Oettinger front bumper; insurance is not paying for the after market parts, anyone know if I should try the replica out? i dont know if it will fit perfectly... please suggest! thank you

its not fugly - its a bad pic but its a POS

i bought it before i got my caractere front - its cheap but 1) hard to paint 2) the **** is fragile like a m0tha

yep def an oetty knock off. It's supposedly Poly-Urethane so you really have no room for fitment issues. At least with fiberglass you can reshape, sand, mold and add structure to it with addition fiberglass before paint. If this thing doesnt fit right, you're pretty much **** outa luck

 

but poly urethane u cant strech and mold still

 

stretch and cut yeah, but if it is too wide, there is generally not enough material to sand it down enough to make it look decent.

I don't trust ebay bodykits in general. You may be able to get a better deal on a real brand name/trusted bumper in the classified section of the various forums. Since you need to get it painted anyway, it wouldnt matter what color it was.
