Would a dealership havea crankshaft position sensor instock - or is that an "order" part?

Only way to know is to call them... What is so wacky about a crankshaft position sensor anyway??

 

That sounds good that you don't think its wacky, It gives me some hope that they will have one in stock.
I am in tristateNY area so there are a couple audi dealerships in a decent radius here.

can they check inventory of other dealerships or just their own.....

its not a part they will stock so they probably will need to order it but they could do a network check to see if one can be located for you

 

what makes you think you need one in the first place?

 

Crushed the wire for it and the engine speed sensor when bolting the tranny back onto the block, they are pinchedso there is no signal, code p0322.

I Can see the two wires pinched between the block. Do you think they are salvage-able? I figuered since the code is triggered they are kaput

 

Why not solder new wire on the harness?

 

ill go with that^^ sensor is good

 

They will probably have it in stock.
