Hey guys ,
just wondering if my RH side blind spot mirror has a "Auto diming" feature. My car is 99 2.8 Q Tiptronic. I need a RH side blid spot mirror cause the mirror is turning brown in colour (like rust forming) from the bottom and slowly is working its way up. I just need to know that so i know which one to purchase from online shop...also how hard is it to replace it..

If you don't know if you have auto dimming mirrors, then I'm goign to guess that you don't. Its a feature you know you have.

 

my car came with it, and it's beautiful driving in rain, and some dumb@ss behind me with high beams blinding the f@ck out of my eyes, they work perfect, actually i just replaced my center on the inside one about 6-7 months ago, it was leaking, they replaced it for free at the dealership

 

ya youll know real quick if you have them or not...

 

i cant tell cause my front mirrors are tinted anyway, so when i look out at night the tint prevents it. All i know is that they are heated. Crap, now would there be a way to find out. Like call the dealership and give them my VIN and they coudl tell if the ride was purchased with them or not? Cause i bought the car used.

 

how about if the windows are tinted, you open them at night and ride, until you notice it

 

on audiusa.com you can sign up for a service called "my audi" and you enter your vin and they tell you all everything about your car

 

ok..look at your rear view mirror...if you see an "eye" at the bottom in the center..then you do..cuz thats the light meter that adjusts the auto-dim....if you do have it and want to test it...take a flash light..open your windows..and shine the light into the eye...if the mirrors get purpley..then u have them..if not...dont look into the reflection of the light too long or you'll blind yourself...

Ha ha ha..guys...yeah i dont have one in the center console (the eye)..so then i dont have one...
does the audiusa.com have VINS for canadian cars...

 

no, but there is a canadian audi website that probably has the same feature...
