I commute about 60 miles to work, I need to buy a TDI, but I was thinking about how they have audi's with the 1.9L TDI motor in Germany. So does anyone know if the bell housing bolts up to the 5sp quattro 1.8t tranny??? I could buy a high mileage 1.8t audi for 5 grand now, get the tdi motor for 3000 used, and have an audi TDI for 8 grand and some elbow grease. Plus I would have a spare engine for my audi that I could build up. Plus its a bit cheaper then buying a decent tdi.
