I was wondering if giac has made anything for the 3.0 yet, I've looked on some sites but can't seem to find anything. You guys seem to know everything about everything, there is a lot of products for the 1.8 but not the 3.0, maybee I should of bought the gas saver instead.[sm=alcoholic.gif]

 

TO my knowlege, no. But even if they did, with a v6 you wouldnt gain much. Go for an exhaust-maybe an intake. i dunno about superchargers for the 3.0.Im too lazy but you could go to giacusa.com to check for a chip.

ok I just emailed evoulution, are the giac chips legal for use in california, I don't really care but I have to smog it next year I wan't to make sure it will pass, damn california laws.

 

It would not effect smog. all it does is slightly advance the timing for 92-93 gas, 6-8. The huge benifit is the DBW response time is almost negligable. That in its self is almost worth it. It also will show at cruisecontrol freeway speeds about 1mpg more.

it's less than the 1.8 chips. i was quoted 300 for two programs stock and chipped.

If you add the hyperflow intake and the miltek exhaust you can pick up about another 12 between the two. That would bring you to about 18 hp more or 238/240 at the crank.

 

grouse thank you very much for the info, I feel like a dumb a$$ for asking this but how do switch between the two programs, with a lap top, and I do plan on getting the hyperflow in a couple of weeks. once again thanks alot.

 

Usually cruise control button while the car is in run but not on. IE the key is turned one step forard but the engine is not running.

WE have very very effective air intakes on our Audi's. Unless you put exhaust on it to compensate your not likely going to see any benifit from the hyperflow or CDMA by themselves.

I'd do the chip before the air intake.

 

ok just got off the phone with evolution motorsports and they told me that giac does not do ecu tuning for the 3.0. only the supercharger, I guess I will start saving my nickel and dimes for the supercharger.
