hey fellas, i was pretty sure all our audi's came with the remote for keyless entry standard... when i bought my car i didnt get any of the guy (bloody theif) im wondering if there is anyway to get a remote to work with my car (like ebay ones)???

i have a remote of my other audi (96) but i tried to do that reprogramming thing where u put one key in etc, but it didnt do nething...

 

yea to re program you have to have the right fcc number and what not but if you dont have a key that works i dont know how you would find that out

I'd like to know too, I dont think I got my remote either. Theres alot of thieving folk out there, Maybe the all make a small profit selling them on ebay!!

 

Get someone with a Vagcom to reprogram your key. Check on AW for the Vagcom instructions.

 

I got a 98.5 with the FCC code 64 but the one ending in 63 works just the same. There both pretty easy to program, no vagcom needed, and they're cheap on ebay.

 

The 96's have a TOTALLY different central locking system and remotes. You need to purchase a keyfob from ebay or the dealer. 97 and up will work.

 

I couldn't find what I needed, so I dug this up to get an answer...

My remote has an FCC ID of MZ2 410 819 4, it's a 97 with the separate key/fob.

anyway, will the FCC ID of MZ2 410 819 6 4 work with my car?

I hope so, the flippin switchblades are cheaper than the separate ones.
