Hi, my 97a4Q 1.8T auto. I washed my engine,(I know) and now no reverse? Also, when shifting through the gears, only "drive" lights up on display. It will drive fwd, but in rev, nothing. Can anyone help with advice? thanks!

 

Wow...how did you wash your engine..with a pressure washer?...have no clue of what you could've done...so what happens when you shift it into rev, any abnormal sounds?

 

Im no expert on the audi itself but in general but as far as cars go its pretty hard to destroy a transmission with water.. my guess is you have perhaps hit the OBC with it and have mucked up the electronic aspect of it Im not too sure if the audi's incorperate a reader in the OBC like the BMW but take it into your local dealer and get him to read the codes its throwing out? and assess from there
