DOOR TRIM PETITION!
Hey guys, I need your help on this... Audi just shot me down regarding my lower door trim replacement battle... I think its pretty rediculous, and the guy who was helping me at the local dealer here was totally on my side, and 2 managers at the audi dealership agreed this is an audi defect. AGAIN: this is the LOWER door trim, the rubberish stuff... if you push against it, you may hear a cracking (as the rusted steel crushes beneath your finger) I believe this affected 1998 - 2001 audi a4's. Here is what I want:
If your lower door trim is damaged (falling off, or getting wavy looking) please email me, or PM me your Name, VIN, and email address, and phone #, or at the very least, name vin and email. I am going to put up more of a fight than audi customer relations expects... I'm very dissapointed in this garbage.
Another thing, any of you who post on audizine or audiworld... PLEASE start a thread, linking to here. I want as many VIN's as possible, and maybe we can all get them replaced, or reimbursed for those of you who have already fixed it at your expense.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, I'm gonna set all the emails in a folder... I want lots of them. Audi has really pissed me off here... he admitted knowing this was a common problem (audi customer relations guy), and the dealer explained that they used regular steel, opposed to stainless or perhaps aluminum to support the moulding... they are clearly exposed to the elements, and never stood a chance!
So yes, lets all ban together, and we might all get our car's fixed... This is the ONLY thing keeping my car from looking MINT, and i get frustrated everytime I wash my car, and have to avoid the moulding to keep it from breaking even more.

Yes APG, check out the pics... its the crappy rubber trim at the bottom of the door. Those pics are pretty much what you'll see on 50% of these damn cars... the fact that audi isnt taking responsibility pisses me off... their excuse was that the car hasnt been serviced at an audi dealer... the guy I bought it from owns a BMW/AUDI/MERCEDES garage, and obviously did all maintenance himself... besides, I doubt if their 100 dollar oil changes would help with sh*t moulding
HB972 and APG please PM me your name, email address, VIN, and preferably include a phone #.
Appreciate it! I think i'm gonna go post on the other forums... since nobody else is! I am a member, just cant remember my passwords :P
