Default Do's and Don'ts For When Your Spouse Has to Borrow Your Audi

I've fully trained my wife on the do's and don'ts for the (dreaded) few times she may have to drive it. Feel free to chime in with any additions.

No turbo before the oil has warmed up.
No turbo.
Park at least 12 feet from any curb.
No parking next to 2-door cars (door-ding probability increases).
No regular gas.
No car wash.
No food.
No Starbucks.
No makeup.
No talking on the cell phone while driving.
No letting anyone else drive.
Use the parking brake when parking, and engage it BEFORE releasing the brake pedal.
Leave the seat and mirrors unadjusted, except for the driver's side and rearview mirrors.

After said times of borrowing my car, I pretend like I'm the Enterprise Rental guy upon the return of a vehicle, and do a thorough body and wheel check upon arrival.

More like, how to be a complete jackass to your significent other. You should just be like me, and be with someone who respects cars as much as I do.

(You know you found the right one when you say "I was thinking of getting a MX-5 once" and she goes "Oooooh! I love the first ones with the flip-up headlights!")

This is the only thing on there that bugged me. Why would you want your S/O to drive with a seat that's not adjusted properly and not being able to see clearly out the mirrors? The first lane change could be disastrous.

hahaha, touche my friend, touche.

that's not my parking spot, I just parked it there quickly to snap a couple shots. trust me, if the girlfriend had parked it it'd be up on the curb. [:@]

My wife knows how to drive a stick but since the A4 has such a high ingage/disengage point, she is uncomfortable driving it. She hasdriven it back from Sacramento once with me in the passenger side and i don't know if it was me making her more nervous but she did a slooow 3,000 rpm take off up hill, I felt nautious. It wasn't her fault though and if it goes out it just gives me a reason to put a new one in sooner. I don't mind her driving any of our cars though.

Girlfriend can't drive a stick. I love if I did have an automatic I would have a post it note written on the dash that has that exact check list.
