About 50% of the time I get in my car, turn it on, and the display says my driver door is open, and that chime goes off. I have to open and close the door between 3-8 times for it to recognize the door is closed. I looked for a button sensor but no luck. any ideas? its driving me nuts!

 

did you ever get a solution to your door issue? it beginning to happen to door

 

Either the door alignment is off or the switch isn't working properly. More likely the switch n the door jamb

 

lol im having the sameprobin my 01 a4 lol. its so gay the funny partis that i justgot tehcar a coupple days ago and it was fixed right beforei bought it. lucky for mei know the owner of the dealership and imtaking it back on monday ot getit fixedagain.... i will let you know what hte guy says when he fixes it
