the dash shows that my driver door is open, although it is closed, when i am driving. the dinging sound goes on for a while and when i turn on the headlights the steady ringing sound goes off that normally goes off when i open the door and have forgotten to turn off the headlights. what is up and how do i fix that?

 

micro switch in latch is bad,replace the latch.
