Has anyone ever heard of someone replacing the older a4 dash with a newer one that has the driver information in between the speedo and the tach. I have a 1998 with the little squares of info instead of the single screen.
i really like the newer style much better. I have a '98 a4 1.8t quattro

 

Depending where you get the cluster, it can run anywhere between a couple hundred and $1000. Plus, I dont think it is a plug in operation. You are probably looking at much more hassle then its worth.
