Default Dropped the Instrument Cluster........

Yeah I know it sounds retarded.. but i had taken tbe Instrument Cluster out of the car b/c I need to send it out to get the mileage fixed (a story i dont need to go into).

Well, i was writing down the serial number and the thing was on my lap b/c that was the best place to put it and read it from. but it slipped off, and a tried to grab it but in the process pretty much pushed it towards the ground faster, and it hit the ground and cracked the god damned faceplate. Just the clear plastic. I can replace just that piece right? Is there a place where I can buy just the front clear faceplate? B/c i'm not spending $700 on a new cluster this IS a new cluster..

If not.. is someone parting out an audi that has an instrument cluster in it that will fit my 2000 a4?

Its definatly not available seperatly as far as i know. Check around with dealerships and junkyards thou. You may be able to score a messed up cluster cheap and then just swap the faceplate.

its only a little crack in the bottom, it doesnt go all the way acrossed it or anything.. but still, completely gay

if i have to i'll live with it. But i'll be keeping my eye peeled for a used cluster then. What years will fit into mine? Does anyone know?
