DTC 01562 - "Can't Unlock"
I have the following DTC when I pull codes on my '02 A4 1.8TQM.
I searched online (including here), and in the Bentley manuals, but found nothing.
What's funny is, all the doors lock and unlock properly, including the right rear door. But this code is still there (even after clearing).
Is it a bad sensor?
TIA,
KJP

Yes, the door locks and unlocks via the remote, or via the lock/unlock switch on the driver door, or by inserting the key in the driver's door.
I bet there's a sensor that tells the door controller that the door actually did lock/unlock, and that sensor isn't reporting the unlock status to the controller.

Your exactly right. Theres a sensor for all the doors to see if they actually locked and unlocked. One of yours is probably stuck in the locked position. Not a bad thing at all. I wouldnt even bother look into it. You can use value blocks to see which door it is thou. The real problem arises when it doesnt see a door lock. Then the alarm wont set because it thinks a door is still open. This code is probably set quite often but since there is no physical sign there is a problem most people wouldnt even know that one of the switchs is sticking.
Same here, but my car is a 2001 Audi Allroad Quattro 2.7T 6 spd.
Rear right (passenger) door shows code NOT unlocking, even so physically it DOES unlock.
Can that impact any of the other features?
I do have the alarm go off once in a while (and currently fighting high draw caused by the suspension level control system, which uses door lock/unlock signal to 'wake up').
Either way: there must be a way to fix this 'ghost' code?
