dv ?
i talked to a guy at a tuning shop, he said if i buy an after market Dv i will have to mantain it like the o-rings in it might blow and ill need to check it. he said i should get a bocsh dv because it has a rubber diaphragm witch wont wear out. is this ture?
The 007 is a piston valve, our diaphragm valves are the (old) DVR, the Eliminator, and the Optimus which is only sold in Japan.
Our piston valves require preiodic cleaning and lubing, this ensures that they will last virtually forever. Diaphragm valves last until they fail, there is no way to determine how long that will be. The internet is full of stories of a bosch valve failing the day the car was chipped... yet some people have them last 20,000 miles with no problems. With the piston style you have more peace of mind...

Every aftermarket DV I have seen has been a billet DV and is marketed as unbreakable. Whether or not this is true is another story but i just got one so I hope they were not lying.

Thanks for the reminder Patty. I should probably service my 007 with winter rolling around. Any recommended lubricant?
