Default DV differences?

So... just ordered the Ultimate Timing Belt Kit that includes all the timing belt/tensioner parts with the Hepu Water Pump and an ECS Lightweight Crank Pulley, an APR Snub Mount and a K & N Performance Filter from ECS online... Once that comes, I'm getting a buddy of mine to help me with all the installation... Then, it's straight to the DV/Chip ... and perhaps bigger injectors.

I've decided I'm going APR, because it seems the HP/Torque yields are the highest... But have not decidied a few things:

1) What is the difference between after-market DVs? What DV yeilds the best performance?
Forge 007, 710n, ect.

1a) What is the difference between the Forge 007 and the Forge 007 "A line"

2) It it worth the extra chedder for the Stage 1+ Upgrade and larger injectors? If so, what injectors offer the best performance?

Uber excited to get to some modding! Btw, this is all going on my 2002 A4 1.8T Quattro, 5 Speed w/ Sport Package

If you need a DV I have a 710N for sale, $20 shipped. I think the A line means that it has an adjustable vac line nipple thing on top which you dont need to worry about with the A4... The 710N dv is whats used in th TT 225hp and is what most people get after getting chipped cuz the stock dv cant handle the added boost you get from the chip. APR claims higher #'s than GIAC, but most people including myself that have experienced both prefer GIAC. Its way more aggressive. Try using the search for this kind of stuff cuz its all been covered so many times...

That answers a lot of questions...

But what about advice on a 1+ kit? Eurocode sells it for the same price, you just need to get the injectors...

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Has anyone personally used the APR 1+ mod? Which injectors did you go with?

The main difference will be between piston and diaphragm valves. Diaphragm valves will have marginally quicker response at the expense of durability and slightly increased susceptibility to flutter. Performance differences between manufactures is difficult to quantify, there are numerous people on the net that have tested various valves with a vacuum pump but this is such a gross oversimplification that the results aren't necessarily conclusive.

onepoint8tee is correct about the A-line. The 007 has a fixed port on the top of the valve while the 007-A has its port on the side of the top-cap assembly that can be rotated 360*.

I dont think the A line is necessary for the a4 cuz the vac line on the dv runs straight up.. If you prefer to have your dv installed in reverse, the a line will help keep your dv vac line from pinching because of the different angle it will be sitting.
