I was just curious to know which DV is the best to get with an open air intake. You all did a very good job convinving me to not get a BOV, which is what i originally wanted... so keeping that in mind.... i love the sound a BOV makes.... so which DV has a loud sound to it? and does it make a difference with an open air intake? im getting it for my birthday at the end of the month so it should be purchased soon... any info will be appriciated....

BTW, i searched but there is so much confusion about the DV's.... it doesnt all make sense to me... i kno this seems like a repeat thread... but im just looking for a clear explanation.

I have never heard of any DV that makes noise. I have a forge 007 on mine and I like it. Im sure it doesnt matter what kinda intake you have

my Forge006 same as 007 made lots of noise with just the airbox mod, it will be much louder with any intake

 

Opening up the air box will make it more audible but then you will need to think about heat shields then. All the dv mentioned above are good it all depends on whether you want it adjustable or cheap. (710n)

 

also, the more boost the louder it will be. if your running stock boost you probably won't even notice it with an intake. add a chip and you will hear it nicely.

 

Speaking of airbox mods what are you doing to mod it
