i've been searching threads on short shifters and found varying opinions.

is the ebay short shifter really alright to buy? is it still good quality?
i've seen some different brands but they are all more expensive. just wondering if the ebay one is just as good.

installed one in the brothers 03 passat (same shifter), easy enough install and works like it should.

 

Yeah I got a neuspeed short shifter for cheap... but I wouldn't hesitate to buy an ebay one. There's nothing to the bloody things... what neuspeed regularly charges is a crock.

 

its worth the 30 or bucks, i was s dumb@$$ and paid something like 60 from cosmo racing, to me it looks the same, the only prblem i had was with actual installation since on my 96 i had to take off the entire center console. shift a bit shorter but the kit also literally shortens the actual lenght of the shifter so when i have the armrest down its kinda annoying shifting. although i would say i have 30% shorter of stock.

 

i have one.. it works really good. pretty smooth for only $30 and its a lottt shorter too. its basically a B&M replica. definately worth the money for a short shifter

 

Along with the ability to shift faster with short throws.. does it make it smoother?

 

I have one and it works great, first is a little notchy but other than that it was well worth the money.

I will try and post up some pictures of before and after.
