Default Ecodes installed (pics) but...

I got my Valeo ecodes from ECS on Friday, and so yesterday I thought I'd install them. Here's how that worked out:

and another

I had a little mishap with the fender cutting that resulted in about 1/16 of an inch divot in the bumper (god damnit) as you may or may not be able to see from the pics. The bigger problem I ran into is that ECS seems to have sent me one halogen housing with halogen wiring for the passenger side, and a xenon housing with xenon wiring for the driver's side.

Yeah, I'm rolling around with one stock headlight and one pretty Euro headlight, at least until I can get them to send me the right housing/wires.

I thought about trying to jerry-rig something between the stock wires and the harness that came with the new headlights, but decided against it.
So all I can do is wait. []

Ya, I can barely see that ding. The only person who's gonna notice it is you.

Not half bad[8D]

True, I wouldn't have noticed the ding if you hadn't mentioned it.

The "good" light looks great.

Thanks. It's barely noticeable; unless you're within five feet of the car and looking for it, you can't see it.
Just gotta get the right stuff for the other side now.

i thought the xenon housing headlights can be used as halogen if you just remove the HID ballast? i hope so cause i just told some other dude that you can..

Well, the problem isn't the housings, it's the wiring harness they send with the actual housing. It seems like the exact same part until you can't plug in your low beams. Not really sure what the "ballast" is.

the ballast is what powers the HID system...i don't think you have to send the headlight back, all you need is the halogen wiring harness (i'm guessing they sent you an HID harness)
