ECP light on!!!

my friend has an 02 a4 3.0 quattro....its cranks forever sometimes b4 it starts or sometimes he states that it wont turn on at all...anyone have an idea what da problem could be???

Could be the engine coolant temperature sensor. Have your friend get the car scanned for codes and then post them here. AutoZone will do it for free.

u sure its da coolant temp sensor...cuz my car car had the check engine light instead of the ECP light...and mine started & drove fine...and it was da coolant sensor which i got for $30 at the audi dealer....

She said it COULD be that. Have your buddy get the codes so no one isGUESSING as to what's wrong.
