Default ECU ???

I am considering purchasing an Audi A4 1.8T quattro in the next year. I am not satisfied with the stock 150 hp, and I am considering installing an ECU. I am looking at 0.8 bar ECU's which put the boost from the stock amount (which i think is 6psi) to about 11psi. I am wondering if this is going to behardon my car, and how it may affect the reliability.

PS: I will probably be buying a used A4 within the 50,000-70,000 mile range

Default ECU ???

It does depend on how you drive your car, as well.

I have friends that have had a 1.0 bar chips (15psi) in their cars for over 3 years and have had no turbo problems. I on the other hand, had my k-03 turbo die before I even got chipped...

Its all relative I guess....
