I just bought my first audi a4. and i want to make it a little quicker. currently i have put on a K&N unristricted air intake. and i want to put on a new ecu also. but i am not sure what company has the best chip for the cost.

Well, welcome to the forums mat8980. As far as chips go, the most common are giac and apr, there are more but these are the most commonly used. I personally use a reflashed ecu by atp because of my turbo, and giac is the best chip if you plan on one day doing a turbo upgrade. I don't know how much these chips run, I'm sure they can be had for 500$. The other folks on this forum will chime in soon enough and let you know more. Good luck and nice to see another 97 a4.
