Default ecu differences

what is different about the last number in your ecu. on my cars year it is C, 8D0 907 559C what is the diff between the ecu with N or P and if i get a ecu with achip in it but the last letter is different wlii it work

N & P might be negative and positive.

most ppl wouldn't really care about the last letters of ECU...we would go on a site and buy or order a performance ECU that fits our cars make, model, and year...

i wasn't being a smart *** its just a alot easier to do that...if u go GIAC its $400 which isn't bad at all...i was tryin to save u time

On mine, the 018P is for manual, and the 018Q is for tip quattro. On miine which is a DBW car, they are not interchangeable.

Your mileage may vary.
